Float-glass producer Stewart Engineers is opening a photo voltaic glass manufacturing facility in Ohio and expects manufacturing to start in March 2026. The brand new firm division Stewart Glass is understanding of a 267,000-ft2 facility in Logan, Ohio, about an hour southeast of Columbus.

Stewart Glass will make two forms of 3.2-mm low-iron rolled photo voltaic glass, one with anti-reflective coatings for the entrance and one for the bottom with out anti-reflective properties.
The corporate will first start producing front-pane glass in March after which will equip the positioning with a second line in June to make back-pane glass.
Stewart Glass estimates that the Ohio website will manufacture sufficient entrance glass to produce 6,500 photo voltaic panels day by day (conservatively utilizing 400-W panels, that will equate to just about 1 GW of photo voltaic panels yearly).
