5-MW solar project to be built on closed Minnesota landfill

Cedar Creek Energy, Connexus Energy and Kearsarge Energy are setting up Minnesota’s first photo voltaic mission constructed on a Minnesota Air pollution Management Company-managed closed landfill.

“This mission represents what’s attainable when utilities, builders, regulators and state leaders work collectively towards long-term vitality options,” stated Alex Gast, chief working officer of Cedar Creek Power. “Cedar Creek Power is proud to companion with Connexus Power and Kearsarge Power to carry the primary photo voltaic array to a Minnesota Air pollution Management Company Closed Landfill website. The 5-MW photo voltaic array in Ramsey, Minnesota, contains single-axis monitoring know-how and is positioned on land managed by the MPCA Closed Landfill Program, which oversees greater than 100 legacy landfill websites throughout the state.
